James and I purchased a digital camera recently - he is learning to use it. I get to sometimes touch it but not without significant instruction ahead of time. So, now we will actually have our own photos to upload to the blog.
This Sunday, my buddy, Lavar, burst through the gate and into our yard when he saw me, yelling "I found some more seeds and we have to plant them RIGHT NOW!!!" The seeds to which he was referring, were flower bulbs that he dug from his dad's yard (probably without permission, but we didn't discuss the particulars). James had some plants that he brought home and I was going to put in pots and in the ground, so Lavar and I set to work.
We repotted, we loosed pot-bound roots, we dug nice new dirt, we watered. Then, when there was nothing else to plant, we dug up weeds in the yard and planted those in the remaining plastic pots- because it was too difficult to explain the difference to an opinionated 5-year-old who thinks the weeds are the prettiest things in the yard.
